Equipment in excellent condition, right valve stem was slightly bent, but completely functional. Survey slates found attached to victim with survey information and stick maps. Oxygen bottle located at 20′ – steel 72 sherwood first stage, 2nd stage G250, 1700 psi of oxygen in bottle. 1st stage bottle located at 2300′ clipped on line, Steel 72, 1500 psi of 35%, G200B 2nd stage. 2nd stage bottle, steel 72 located at 3400′ penetration, clipped to line, 33.5% at 1800 psi, G500 second stage. A stub-nosed Gavin scooter was found with 2nd stage bottle clipped to line at 3400′, in working order, and the trigger was pinned on scooter. Victim also had an argon bottle attached to him for inflation of drysuit, valve fully open.No visible markings on tanks or clay where victim found.

Victim found 3525′ in cave, facing exit. Upside down, Right hand o.k. on line, victim slightly negative. Light cord wrapped around line, when he turned over this happened, not tangled. Regulator out of mouth, back-up regulator in bungee. Eyes closed, small amount of blood coming from left nostril.No visible marks on body or hands, no apparent struggle.
